Founded in 2010, Northern Diving has long been an integral part of the marine industry servicing the oil and gas, riverboat gaming, transportation, and other related industries. Based in the Great Lake and Gulf Coast regions, our team at NDI have extensive training and experience in marine work and commercial diving throughout the Unites States.
Our extensive experience and resources enable us to adapt quickly and successfully complete the most complex, challenging assignments. In all endeavors, we maintain the highest level of safety. Together, we are dedicated to providing our clients with safe and effective solutions to complex problems – even under the most difficult conditions.
Northern Diving provides a wide variety of underwater maintenance, repair, installation, and inspection services. We team with dependable and reputable partners, successfully delivering to our clients a broad spectrum of management, technical services, and strategies that are time tested and cost-effective. Our divers are fully certified and have experience in all aspects of commercial diving from hull repairs and salvage, to under water construction and welding. We are fully licensed and Insured general contractors.

MATTHEW BERG
CEO AND FOUNDER
Matthew Berg currently serves as the CEO and founder of Northern Diving LLC overseeing all operations. Since its inception in 2010, he built his company’s foundation by becoming the lead expert in commercial diving.
Matthew joined the Navy in 1994 earning a spot as a SWCC Operator (Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen) and also received additional training as a diver. He later graduated from Illinois State University, and began diving for Advance Diving in Wisconsin, supervising over 1,000 dives. For over 22 years, Mathew’s work has seen him play a key role in many of the major marine projects which have taken place throughout the United States.
His hard working beginnings influenced his integrity to meet timely deadlines and adhering to strict guidelines. His quality work ethic is inspiringly encouraged among his staff. The company’s reputation is based on his core value of fulfilling the clients’ needs. He exceeds expectation with quality workmanship and consistent follow through from start to completion. Matt is always available to discuss planned or more involved work.

The Northern Diving team have many years of experience in industries such as civil engineering, ship maintenance, dredging, piling , construction and inspection. Our qualified divers work tirelessly to satisfy and exceed our customers’ expectations from first contact right through completion. We are highly skilled, motivated and ready to deploy at short notice. We are versatile and able to tackle any everything from emergency salvage work or fouled propellers to long-term maintenance contracts. We can direct complex operations, managing a variety of other specialist teams and can also work as part of co-ordinated projects. Our focus on health and safety is second to none and we have gained a reputation for safe, secure operations and excellent customer service.

At this time, the Northern Diving team will begin research, and an on-site survey will be scheduled so that we may confirm all specification and address any concerns.
All gathered information, research, and on site survey will be verified, so that we meet all the appropriate compliance that are required by the industry.
Once you're confident about working with Northern Diving, you will review all documentation, sign the contract and create a project timeline with the team.
